I lead interactive workshops on composing and songwriting for K-12 students. I also present my work to college students at other universities and general audiences.

Here are samples of programs I’ve presented to K-12 students:
- Students with no formal musical training: workshops on turning speech into song; activities and games about melodies based on scales; workshop on polyrhythm
- Beginner musicians: workshops on improvising and composing two-part vocal music; workshop on composing simple piano music
- Intermediate musicians: music and social justice, using my piece Victory at Arnot as an example
- General audiences: the composition process, collaboration between composer and performers
