Composition Lessons

I’ve taught composition to students with diverse musical backgrounds, aesthetics, and goals. My private composition students at Berklee have been admitted to many graduate programs including the New England Conservatory, the NYU Screen Scoring Program, the USC Thornton Screen Scoring program, and the Seattle Film Institute.

My students’ accomplishments include scoring a project in the Malibu Film festival, working as an assistant orchestrator for film and documentaries produced by the BBC and Netflix, and having a piece workshopped and recorded by Grammy winning ensemble Roomful of Teeth.

Outside of Berklee, I occasionally teach students virtually, ages high school and up. Younger students often meet with me weekly or monthly for extended periods of time; young professionals usually meet with me for a shorter set of lessons on a particular topic or project.
